Quality Inn & Suites Bryan-College Station

The rooms were clean, the staff nice, and breakfast was good, which made the problems especially disappointing. The water was shut off without notice, and there was no water in the kitchenette for our entire stay. The fire alarm went off several times at 2am after a guest pulled it, leaving everyone else without rest. There was also a serious security issue, but I won't describe it because I don't want to expose it to anyone who might exploit it. With the security and other problems, I don't want to stay here again.

Our fridge wasn't cooling, so we had about $100 worth of alcohol in it. They brought us a new fridge, but our alcohol was gone, and I believe staff stole it. I gave the receipts to the front desk and have tried reaching someone repeatedly. The email listed on the receipt doesn't work, and nobody answers the phone.

The hotel stops serving coffee after breakfast, at 9am. Most hotels keep it available all day.

It was 37 degrees outside and only 55 in our room, with no heat or hot water, which felt unsafe. We were given extra comforters instead of having maintenance come fix the heat. We were told the maintenance man was the owner and had “several properties.” After checkout, staff said the room had been checked and everything worked, even though they'd told us earlier they would discount it. Corporate agreed the conditions were unacceptable but at first wouldn't credit the room. Only after a long, drawn-out phone call did they offer a credit. We had an entire soccer team there, and the hotel was staffed by one brand-new employee. Heat wasn't working in many rooms, not just one. One family was moved to a room with a door that wouldn't lock. A basic maintenance program should have caught that and kept the room out of service. Other rooms in our team block had mold, dirt, bugs, and furniture with flood damage from hurricane-damaged hotels. The next morning, we came back from breakfast to find our room open. Housekeeping had changed the towels and left with the door wedged open by the security bar. They were gone, not still cleaning. This was the worst hotel stay I've had. The business practices were shameful, and no heat in near-freezing weather was downright dangerous.
