La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Little Rock - Bryant

The mattress was much too hard for me, and even my husband, who likes a firm bed, found it too firm. A mattress pad would be useful. We only stayed two nights, so we made do. Still, I'd stay here again with my two small dogs. This was one of the best La Quinta's we've tried, with plenty of places to walk the dogs and appreciated poop stations. One ran out of bags during our stay, but another had plenty. The front desk woman was welcoming and helpful with check-in and the pet paperwork, explaining everything clearly. After a long drive, that friendly greeting meant a lot. I just wish I could remember her name.

The room was nicely finished, and I couldn't stop looking at the ceiling molding or the cool mid-century lime-green chair. The indoor pool and gym were a bonus, and everything was very clean. My dog hates hotels in general but loves LaQuinta, for reasons I can't explain. A few things were off this trip: the cable barely worked, and the key cards seemed to deactivate if I even thought about using my phone near them. To get online, I had to go into the hallway once to connect, then it was fine. I also don't like the disposable trays in the in-room coffee makers. There's already enough plastic involved in making a cup, so that feels like extra waste. Grubhub had a Wyndham “no fees” promotion mentioned when I logged in, but I couldn't figure out how to apply it or what counted as an eligible order. I always look for LaQuinta when I travel, though sometimes they're hard to find in search results. On this trip to Tx, I couldn't find one on the way down and found several on the way back, lol. Their pillows and sheets are reliably clean and comfortable, and the pillows get an A+ from me.

We've stayed at hundreds of LaQuinta hotels across the country over the years, and this was easily our favorite. The room was spacious, beautiful, and spotless, and the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up. Even the folded washcloth and tissue box made me feel like I was on a cruise. We'd happily stay here again.

I always feel safe here, and the service is consistently great. The rooms are always clean, and breakfast is usually good, but this visit was a letdown. There were two kinds of sausage and no bacon, which I would've preferred since I'm not much for sausage. The eggs were so dry I couldn't eat them. Maybe gravy would've helped.
