Best Western Plus Ruby's Inn

The rooms may be dated, but ours was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had what we needed. The beds were comfortable too. The front desk was kind and gave us all the information we needed. We stayed one night at Best Western Plus Ruby's Inn, and the location for Bryce Canyon is hard to beat. You can stay on the property for everything: there’s a restaurant, which was packed though we didn’t eat there, a small grocery store, a laundromat, and a souvenir shop with more than just tacky stuff. I’d absolutely stay again.

We’ve stayed at Ruby’s several times, in the hotel and at the campground with our travel trailer, and my wife and I keep enjoying this destination. It’s a wonderful romantic spot just outside Bryce Canyon national Park, an incredible place to visit. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful. Our room was a fair size, clean, and quiet. The dinner buffet disappointed me because it didn’t offer much variety, and at $28 plus tax I didn’t think it was worth the price. Still, it’s a remote tourist area, so higher prices are to be expected. The breakfast included with the room was more than adequate. Just remember this is a tourist destination, so food and amenities can be pricey. We’ll keep coming back to Ruby’s.

Even with lots of people dining, the restaurant staff worked efficiently, and we waited only about ten minutes while looking over the menu before dinner. Nearby restaurant choices are limited, so we ate there. The front desk staff were helpful, the WiFi was easy to use, and there’s a beautiful pool we didn’t try. The hotel is large, busy, and crowded. I worried at first that we might get lost in the crowd or receive poor service, but that concern turned out to be unnecessary. Our room was clean and very spacious, though a little dated and rustic. Breakfast in summer starts at 6:30 am and includes scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, hot pancakes, cottage cheese, and fruit. We chose Best Western Ruby’s Inn because we planned to visit Bryce Canyon in the afternoon around 1-2 pm and weren’t sure we could park at the visitor center. Staying here meant we could take the free shuttle bus from Ruby’s Inn if parking was unavailable. We had a good stay and would return.

We’re a French family of five with three kids, and found this a very good value near Bryce Canyon. It’s about a ten-minute drive to the national park, and there’s a large parking area. The place feels like a “motel++,” a step up from a standard motel for the price. The heated indoor pool was a big hit with the kids. Breakfast is included and has a good selection: scrambled eggs, French toast, toastable bagels, coffee, and even hot chocolate with whipped cream for the kids. Simple, but satisfying. Staff throughout the hotel were welcoming and friendly. Our rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. The decor is old-school, though everything was clean and functional. The one downside was noisy air conditioning, which we turned off at night. We recommend it.
