Centennial Motel

I’ve stayed here twice in two weeks. The first visit was very good and everything was very clean. On the second, my room had been completely renovated and was even nicer. It’s an older property, but the owners are great and they’re biker friendly, too.

The atmosphere and rooms are awesome, and the people working there are a delight. They’re eager to make sure guests are happy with their stay. I’d recommend this home away from home 100%.

During the 12 weeks I stayed here for work, they made us feel at home. These were the friendliest people I ran across on my adventure. If I’m in the area again, I’ll definitely stay here.

The main highway, Walmart, and other shopping are all close by, and you can walk downtown easily. The property is spread across several one- and two-story buildings, with entrances off Kanawha St. or Senior Dr. The large, old cut-stone house used as the office still has lots of character, and the rooms have actual key locks. The staff are very friendly and helpful. One tip: they recommend calling directly to reserve, since the rate may be better than through a booking site, though either way isn’t bad. Be sure to tell them whether you want a smoking or non-smoking room. Very nice, maybe even quaint.
