Wingate By Wyndham Buckhannon

The rooms were clean, nice, and comfortable, and all the staff were very nice apart from the woman cleaning the breakfast area. The front desk said breakfast ran until 10am, but when we went for something at 940, she was already mopping and cleaning. She kept checking her watch and looking at us like we were holding her up. I could’ve done without that.

The online pre-check-in was easy, and the front desk staff were friendly. My mini suite had a couch, desk, mini fridge, and microwave, and both the room and hallways were clean. Breakfast offered plenty of choices, including pancakes, eggs, bacon, cereal, oatmeal, pastries, juice, coffee, and yogurt. It’s a couple miles from the main part of town, where the restaurants and stores are. I’d definitely stay again.

The shower water was the one letdown. It stayed warm and sometimes got a little warmer, but never hot. I’m guessing several people may have been showering at once. Otherwise, I was very impressed by how clean the rooms were, and the bed and pillows were soooo comfy. There was a full breakfast bar with pancakes, eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal, toast, bagels, and more. I’d recommend this hotel and plan to return.

The pancake maker was fun to watch, and the food was great. Staff were professional and prompt. We’ll definitely use the hotel again if our daughter chooses WVW University.
