Days Inn by Wyndham Budd Lake

The place is a bit dated, but it was clean. The front desk staff were VERY nice and made us feel like they appreciated our business.

A male staff member called while I was driving to the hotel and said they were completely booked. The first thing he said was, “You booked a room using points, right? Well you can't stay here, it's a Friday and we are completely booked.” I checked the app and website myself, and both still showed rooms available. He was just lying to me. Getting my points back turned into a major hassle. The owner and staff were VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I do NOT RECOMMEND this hotel.

I was really disappointed by the nonstop noise on the first floor. My room was dirty too, with trash and used sheets tucked behind a chair. The manager didn’t apologize or offer anything, and instead rudely brought the cleaners into my room to tell them I’d complained. They were painting the outside, so plastic sheeting blocked my view of the busy street.

The hotel looks okay at best, but the front desk guy was rude, nasty, and seemed to be looking for trouble. He made my wife and me really uncomfortable. We travel often for both work and fun, and this was by far our worst hotel experience. I’d pay more for a less attractive place just to avoid that kind of service, and we’ll avoid this hotel at literally all cost. I don’t normally review places, good, bad, or indifferent, but after the trouble we had with him, I felt I needed to say this. If you’re considering it, don’t. There are quite a few other hotels in the Budd Lake area, and I’d try any of them instead.
