The pool setup was a hit with the kids. They loved both the splash pad and playground, and there were plenty of other activities around the property for families. Even after reading some negative reviews, we ended up having a really enjoyable stay that beat our expectations. Our bungalow was clean, comfortable, and had what we needed. The bathrooms were especially roomy and well kept, and we felt relaxed and safe the whole time. The staff were consistently welcoming, too. Solvang is only about a 10-minute drive away, with shops and restaurants to check out. We’d happily stay again.

I stayed in the Ranch Cabin (Morgan) for a leadership retreat, and its charming feel and careful upkeep stood out. The sheets were spotless and neatly pressed, and the landscaping was lovely. The kids’ room, tucked up a set of quaint stairs, was a delightful detail. The setting is beautiful, the rooms are clean and well maintained, and the staff were outstanding. Adam, Emily, and Paul were attentive, professional, and genuinely kind throughout our visit. I’d love to return and bring my family next time.

The way the group booking was handled has put me off staying here. I was trying to arrange about 10 rooms for a family reunion and mainly wanted to know how we could be near each other without making myself responsible if someone had to cancel. At first, I was told I needed to book all 10 rooms and put down a credit card to get them close together. After I gathered the details and called back, I was told everyone could book separately and I could then request nearby rooms. I was also told a 10-room group would qualify for a discount, so I was transferred to group sales. They said cancellations were fine if made more than 10 days ahead, but the contract said I’d have to pay for cancellations after one room. The discount was barely $100 off the total, which didn’t seem worthwhile. I wish they’d been clear from the start. Getting conflicting information has left me not wanting to stay.

We had a little toilet problem, but the front desk sent maintenance right away. I expected to wait for hours, so that quick response really impressed me. The cottage was cozy, with a full kitchen, propane BBQ pit, and a small patio deck with seats. It also had a heater and AC, plus hot water. A nice option if you’d rather not sleep in an outdoor tent. I’ll be back next year.
