The Inn

I’ve stayed several times and love that each room has its own decor. The details keep me intrigued, from the art and room layouts to all the unique touches. The design feels intentional, stylish, and welcoming. The rooms are lovely, with great linens, an indulgent velvet comforter, and mountain views. It feels upscale but still personal. The downtown location is hard to beat, with shops, dining, the river, and plenty to explore just steps away. Check out the pizza place, the amazing coffee at the Long Table, and everything the Mercantile has to offer. Communication was seamless, too. The team was proactive, clear, and quick to help. They aren’t onsite, but I wouldn’t have known, since they always replied promptly and warmly. A great choice if you want luxury, charm, and convenience.

We had the family suite, and it was comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. It’s a gorgeous hotel in a great location. Our daughters slept in the back bedroom, which shares a wall with the delicious pizza place. Around closing time, there was quite a bit of noise, music and yelling, which I assume came from the kitchen while the staff were cleaning up. The worst of it was done by about 11:30. The girls’ white noise machine seemed to help, and my husband and I weren’t bothered in the front room facing Railroad St, though we had ours on too. We’d 100% stay here again.

After a long day of rafting, this place was the best surprise. We had three gorgeous rooms, all different but equally stunning, and they’d thought of everything, from the beds and sitting areas to the bathrooms. There’s a coffee shop downstairs, with ice cream and burgers just a few blocks away. It’s a lovely city, and you’ll want to come just to stay at The Inn, but be sure to explore the rest of the area while you’re here.

Happy tears as soon as we walked in. The Inn is beautiful, and you can tell the details were chosen with care. We came to Buena Vista for the day while planning to elope in the mountains in August, then decided to stay overnight. We’re booked at the Inn for August too, and were thrilled a room was available. In the morning, we had yummy coffee and watched the people on Main St. So glad this place is here, keeping Buena Vista’s charm and history alive.
