Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport

The lounge was a highlight, with a good breakfast, evening snacks like salad, cheese, vegetables and one main dish, plus desserts. They also had granola bars, fruit and yogurt available throughout the day. The lobby and outdoor bar and restaurant areas offered lots of good seating, inside and out. Across the street there are plenty of restaurants, and grocery stores are walkable at about 1.5 miles away. This stay beat my expectations in nearly every way. They treat Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador members well. I’d been trying to use my five upgrade certificates all year, and this was the only place that let me use them, upgrading me to a 2-double suite. I loved the room. I also got a 4:00pm checkout, and my key card still worked even after 4:00pm. At many other hotels you need a new key for late checkout. The gym was decent. Oddly, they provide water bottles instead of a station for filling your own. The location is excellent, about a 5-10 minute walk from Burbank Airport.

After my five hour drive, I’d just checked in when I met Chanel from Louisiana. She may be the most pleasant, upbeat, positive person I’ve ever met, and she put a smile on my face. Martin at the front desk made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived at the Burbank Marriott. He was friendly, professional and attentive, and he made check-in smooth while accommodating our requests with ease. We felt well looked after the entire stay. People who take real pride in their work and care about guests are hard to find, and Martin clearly does. His warmth and dedication made our stay excellent. Marriott is lucky to have him representing the brand. We’ll be back and will recommend the hotel to others thanks to his service.

The hotel and room were clean and nice, and the staff were very kind. The phone system needs fixing, though. It was dark and rainy, and with my child I had to walk from the airport even though it’s only about 10 minutes away. When I called to request the shuttle, the AI answering service only gave the shuttle hours and wouldn’t connect me to a person who could book it. Once in our room, we just wanted room service, but the phone for ordering food didn’t work. I downloaded the marriot all and called the restaurant number listed there, but it didn’t go to the hotel. These issues weren’t the staff’s fault. Management needs to fix the technology.
