Travelodge by Wyndham Burbank-Glendale

Anna's service is what made this stay stand out. She's a kind, helpful manager who wants guests to have a good time and is always polite and accommodating. The room was clean and fine for sleeping or making quick stops while we explored LA, which is what I'd expect at this price in the LA area. There's a nice little Mexican restaurant next door, and the front desk can give you breakfast vouchers. No complaints. Thanks, Anna!

It's close to Walk of the Stars and Universal Studios, and both office attendants I met were really friendly. The room itself is tiny, though. The bed was cozy, but the pillows were lumpy, and there's barely space to walk between the bed, desk, and the cabinet with the microwave and refrigerator. The shower is small, but the water gets hot and the pressure is excellent.

The water pressure was very strong, and the employee at check-in was pleasant. Still, I wouldn't stay here again. Photos made the rooms look much nicer, and there were lots of little signs of wear. The bed was moderately comfortable, but the pillows were badly lumpy. The parking lot was frustrating to get in and out of, with nowhere to turn around. Checking in through a glass window also made the place feel unsafe. The worst part was finding a cockroach almost crawling on my foot when I got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. We were leaving the next morning, otherwise we'd have left early. We had to shake out all our things while packing and wash everything as soon as we got home. Just gross. I guess that's what to expect from a 2 stars by Wyndham.

Great location, but the parking lot is small and it felt a bit expensive, though I think everywhere is. The air conditioning and heat both worked great. It took a while for the hot water to come through, but it did. The shower door leaks badly. Housekeeping was okay, though if they're changing towels and taking out trash, the room floors could use a quick mop too. Fine for a place to sleep.
