Comfort Inn

The room was comfortable, clean, and had good lighting, and the rates were affordable. There are several stores and restaurants nearby, too. The owners were warm and hospitable, and I appreciated that the first pet stays free. I just wish there were a simple breakfast option, like granola bars or muffins.

I had to go to the front desk myself to get the room cleaned. During my two-week stay, housekeeping never came in with towels or toiletries. They also returned my Amazon packages, which I've never had happen at a hotel where I was staying. The owners were no help. I wouldn't recommend this place. Spend the extra $10 and stay at a Holiday Inn.

I've stayed in plenty of hotels and motels, but I couldn't sleep here, and ended up leaving around 1:01 AM, at midnight. The room had a really bad smell, and after I showered and went to bed, my whole body felt itchy, like something had bitten me. I showered again, then asked the staff to move me to another room. I said I thought it was bed bugs and asked for a room change, a refund, or something better. They said they'd check, and told me it was nothing. How were they supposed to check for bed bugs just by looking? The service was really bad.

For two and a half, maybe three years, I've been coming to the Red Roof in Yorktown Va. It's felt like home for me and my dog, and I've never had a problem during a stay. The manager is a kind man, and the staff have always been friendly and polite.
