Econo Lodge

I tried to cancel at 4 a.m. because my father was dying, but the man was rude and said he wasn't open at that hour because he was sleeping. When I asked if they were open 24 hours, he said that was for customers, not cancellations. How can you check in or cancel if the staff act like this? He got very upset when I tried to cancel. He only cares about the money. What a jerk.

The room needs repairs, and the price was way too high. They treated our military family very poorly. When I pointed out that the online military rate was over $15 less than the walk-in price, they raised the Internet price, then gave us the discount begrudgingly. They bragged about being rated second in the country, but treated us like second-rate guests.

The bathtub wouldn't drain, so shower water rose over my ankles. The bed had paper-thin sheets, and there was a three-quarter-inch gap all around the door frame. They also lied about the internet. Breakfast was cereal and apples, with sweet rolls bought from the store down the street. Typical Towel Head-run motel. Never again.

The owner was very rude, and the rooms were way overpriced. He charges a $30 non-refundable pet deposit every day. He's the only hotel in town, so there's no competition. The cleaning lady is a very nice local woman.
