Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Calhoun

There are a decent number of restaurants to choose from, and the room had good lighting and was decent. I might try the breakfast. The downsides: the front desk woman wasn't friendly, the cable didn't work, and the toilet had very little water in it. The AC was a bit loud, and several fitness center machines were out of order. Rooms on the interstate side can be noisy.

The remodel looks great, with light colors and bold contemporary touches. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was wonderful. Everything was very clean, with plenty of towels. I haven't had breakfast yet, but the selection looked good. I'd stay again.

I've stayed here a couple of times and it's always been a nice experience. The rooms are clean, and the staff are pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. The lobby, lobby bathrooms, and dining area are well kept too.

The breakfast was incredible: moist, light scrambled eggs, sausage patties or links, biscuits and gravy, hot and cold cereal, pancakes, and juice. The one thing that spoiled it was those one-cup coffee machines. A woman actually took my cup out and put hers in while I had my back turned. The inn is being transformed, so forget the old bad reviews. It was immaculate and updated, with spacious, nicely appointed rooms and a wonderful bed.
