The garden paths around the property are beautiful, and it’s an easy walk to the lodge. We stayed in a bungalow with a wonderful large jacuzzi tub. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished, with a very comfortable bed and gas fireplaces in both the living room and bedroom. There was good food and live music in the lounge in the evening, plus a nice breakfast buffet at the restaurant.

We’d love to come back. This is a welcoming, pet-friendly place, with interesting, well-cared-for grounds and well-organized outdoor seating. Some seating areas are partly enclosed and have fireplaces. We got the “ winter package” at a good price: two nights for two, breakfast buffet each morning, and a lovely dinner with a bottle of very good wine.

Booking direct got our family a complimentary breakfast, which saved time in the mornings and let us head straight out to explore. The Christmas lights were a highlight for the kids, who got to see the displays after New Year’s without the usual crowds. Our room was cozy, clean, and surprisingly spacious for the affordable price. Cambria Pines Lodge also felt centrally located, making it easy to visit Hearst Castle and Cambria Village. The relaxed atmosphere and welcoming staff made us feel at home, and we’d definitely stay again.

This was our third visit, and it still didn’t disappoint. We made it a spur-of-the-moment trip alongside a business trip to San Luis Obispo. The family room works perfectly for us, and the front desk staff are always exemplary. We walked downhill to downtown Cambria, just .4 miles away, and had a lovely evening in the lounge. Highly recommend.

The service was over the top, and we couldn’t be happier. We felt very welcome and well accommodated. Our dog got special treatment with little gifts and treats, and the clean, comfortable room was great. We also had a delicious dinner.
