We had a pest issue at our Airbnb up the road and needed a last-second place late at night. Pat was so friendly and made sure we were looked after. The Smugglers Notch Inn also greeted us with a tasty complimentary breakfast, and there's a bar and restaurant downstairs that's worth checking out. I couldn't rave enough about the hospitality.

We drove up from NYC to visit our best friend's hometown for graduation, and this inn was a perfect break from the busy city. The town and backroads reminded us of home in Washington. Smugg’s feels private, welcoming, and homey, like your own home away from home. The beds were ridiculously comfortable, and waking up to a made-to-order breakfast in the kitchen was a dream. A fantastic stay. Can't wait to return!

The inn mailed us a pair of ski gloves we'd accidentally left behind in our room, which was so kind. We skied Stowe and Jay from there, though both were a bit of a drive, and we'd absolutely stay again to ski Smuggs. It's a truly historic inn, with clean rooms and comfortable beds. There's a cozy living room with a fire, board games, and a view of Main Street, plus a lively ground-floor tavern serving great food and rotating local beers from off the beaten path.

This is the quintessential New England ski and mountain B&B. Lisa and Pat are accommodating and part of the charm. You're warmly welcomed by a team member, then choose breakfast for the next day, cooked hot for you. I'm an early riser and coffee was ready bright and early. In the evenings, guests played board games or did puzzles by the fire. Quiet hours were respected, and the bed was comfortable, so I slept well. My room had a wood-burning stove, gas-fired, and a jetted tub. Strong recommendation. Go Pats!!

We've been coming back for several years and love this cozy, family-run B&B. They make the best breakfasts, the price is very fair, and the vibe is friendly. Can't recommend it enough 💪!
