The Inn staff were so welcoming that we arrived as strangers and left feeling like friends. They were attentive and full of local knowledge, and breakfast turned into nearly two hours of learning about the house, the area, and the country’s history. We’d come to Cambridge to look at nearby real estate and picked Albanus Phillips Inn because we wanted to understand its past. The house is an architectural wonder, carefully restored by the owner, with furnishings that suit its elegant character. Cambridge is a beautiful, historic town, and I highly recommend staying here.

The room was clean and well cared for, and the recently renovated bathroom was a real plus. We were in town for a wedding just down the street, and the hosts were pleasant and very accommodating. They also shared stories at breakfast about the house and the presidents who had stayed there. I wasn’t thrilled with the breakfast options, and the limited TV channels got a little annoying, but we spent so little time in the room that it was fine.

The beds were especially comfortable, breakfast was great, and the people running this historic Cambridge B&B were warm and kind. There’s plenty of history here too. Highly recommend!

The owner has died, and the inn is closed. We weren’t notified, which was bizarre, and the booking provider I used refuses to publish my review. As Jeff’s review mentions, there’s a notice of abandonment on the door.

Each room had its own theme, which made the stay feel different. Breakfast was ready on time, and downtown was an easy walk. We had a great experience.
