Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Camden by IHG

I was in town for two nights for a memorial service and found it to be good value. The staff were very friendly, and the rooms looked recently refurbished. There was plenty of bathroom space for toiletries, plus a hairdryer, and the closet had a full-size iron and ironing board. The lighting was good, the TV worked fine, and wifi was available. Breakfast was surprisingly good. The pool was closed for the season, though you could still go out there to smoke. I’d stay again.

The front desk service was amazing, and the cleaning staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was great, and the snack bar had a good range of things. Our room was spacious enough for a travel crib and had two spots where we could sit and use the computer. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels in Austin, and this one was better than many of them. We did find a small bit of trash behind the curtain that housekeeping missed, but it wasn’t a big deal. There was no vent fan in the bathroom, also not a big deal. I look forward to staying here again on another visit.

The room felt clean and fresh, and the gym is pretty good if you like to work out while traveling. It’s newly renovated, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The shower body wash and shampoos were full, which often isn’t the case. If I come back, I’ll stay here again.

We were here for a wedding, and the room was nice for a reasonable price. The service was outstanding: the front desk and housekeeping helped me get checked in three hours before the usual time. Thanks to them for making that happen. The only issue we noticed was a slightly musty smell, like the carpet may have gotten wet and not dried properly. Overall, it was a great place to stay.
