Our company brought the team to the Captain Swift Inn for a two-day media project that ran from sunrise to sunset. After long workdays, the relaxing shared amenities and wonderful rooms made it feel more like a retreat than a hotel. Inn keeper Jessica and Matt treated us like family, and the homemade cookies were a bright spot in the day. We had a wonderful stay.

We stayed in the Annie F. Kimball room, with its comfortable king bed, luxurious linens, and spa-like walk-in shower. Breakfast was delicious and had several courses, with the owners taking care to account for different dietary needs. The family who owns The Captain Swift Inn greeted us at check-in and showed us around. There was coffee and tea, sitting rooms with books and games, and outdoor spots with rocking chairs and a fire pit. They’d also thought of small touches like music in the shared areas, umbrellas, shopping totes, and wine openers for guests. The inn blends historic character with updated comforts and is a short walk from downtown Camden. It was just right for our weekend away.

The owners were friendly and helpful, and kindly arranged breakfast around my food allergies. I really appreciated that. Our room was so comfortable, and we loved the oversized tub and spa shower. The inn itself is lovely, well equipped, and clearly well cared for. We’d stay again.

Jessica and Matt were such welcoming hosts, and our room was very comfortable, with great linens, a comfortable mattress, and an updated bathroom. We only had one night at Captain Swift Inn while heading up the coast, but I wish we could have stayed a couple more. We’d definitely return.

There are lots of little rooms and features to poke around in, and each room has its own cozy feel. The showers are among the nicest I’ve had anywhere. It almost feels like being aboard an old boat, in the best way, and downtown Camden is within walking distance. Hard to beat.
