The extra $100 charge after my stay was especially upsetting. I was accused of smoking and having pet-related issues, which wasn’t true. I hadn’t smoked in the room, and the only pet item I had was a sealed bag of food. Pets are allowed there, so the charge didn’t make sense. When I called to ask about it, the staff member was rude and hung up. The room itself was in unacceptable shape for the $153 I paid for a basic two-queen room. It smelled strongly of urine, looked unclean, and the TV showed only distorted lines with no channels. No one tried to fix the problem or offer another room. The whole experience felt unfair and unprofessional. I’d think carefully before booking.

There was no hot water at all, and when I asked to switch rooms, the person working at night said there were none left. The room had other problems too: the security lock didn’t work, the bathroom door striker plate fell off, and the bare bulb on the lamp between the beds gave off a harsh glare. Our reservation had apparently been lost or wasn’t on record when we arrived. The room looked 30-40 years old. I also couldn’t get help from the manager on duty. The young person at the desk said he had called several times, left messages, and texted the manager marked “On Duty,” without getting a response. That was laughable. Unless the owner takes the state of this maybe once nice hotel seriously, I won’t stay again. Consider yourself warned. Good luck.

I asked the assistant manager for a copy of the receipt I had to sign, but she refused, saying it was “the hotel’s copy” and she wasn’t allowed to give me one. It makes no sense to have a guest sign a document and then deny them a copy for their own records. We were put in Room 118, on the bottom floor, and the room had a disgusting smell as soon as we walked in. The furniture was dirty and worn out, and the whole place seemed to be falling apart. Live roaches were crawling around too, which was completely unacceptable. When I reported everything, the assistant manager said it was a “pet room” and that she wasn’t sure why we’d been assigned there. That didn’t solve anything. This was frustrating and disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room was cheap, the bed was pretty comfortable, and check-in was easy. The night clerk was friendly and efficient, and being right off the freeway was convenient. Those are the reasons for the second star. The place smelled stale when we came in. The floor looked dirty and felt sticky, the tub drained poorly, and there was a hole in the wall with carpet peeling in spots. The TV’s picture was faded and grainy, and it sounded like it might blow up. The pool and hot tub were empty and fenced off with yellow CAUTION tape. I don’t expect much from a room, just a bed, bathroom, roof, and cleanliness. This place wasn’t clean. My son summed it up best: “They didn’t say what KIND of Quality.”

No Wi-Fi, seriously! I’d already booked and paid, and only learned about it when I arrived. By then, there was no backing out.
