The courtyard had an amazing variety of flowers. It was prettier than some botanical gardens I’ve visited, and there were even a couple of gentlemen birdwatching. We loved the place, though we didn’t stay overnight and would like to sometime. I’d recommend stopping just to see the courtyard.

We’d planned this lunch as the centerpiece of our trip and were really pleased with the choice. Prices were very reasonable, and the whole meal was excellent. My son ordered the Navajo Taco and, despite being a big eater, could barely finish it. He said it was delicious. I had the spicy, tasty green chili stew with a round of Navajo frybread and honey, filling and very good. My wife was tired of Southwest food, so the fish sandwich was just what she wanted. I got the pickle. The dining room is spacious and nicely appointed, with tables looking out over the rocky desert and elegant Navajo decor. Even at the busy part of lunchtime, we were seated within a few minutes. Our server, a young Navajo lady, was well groomed, polite, and prompt. Cameron is out in the middle of nowhere, a few miles north of the road to or from the Grand Canyon and a few miles south of the turn to Tuba City. The Trading Post is its claim to fame, a large shop with Navajo rugs, pottery, and knickknacks. There’s also a hotel, where we didn’t stay, and a dining room. We stopped for lunch today and were extremely pleased.

We had Navajo tacos with green chili sauce, and they were so delicious. The fry bread was fluffy and tasty. Crystal served us, and she was professional, friendly, and informative. The property was really well kept and pretty, the gift shop was big, and the restaurant was lovely. We’ll definitely be back.

Our tour guide, Connor of Dynamic Journey tours, brought us for lunch and a look around the trading post. The view of the Grand canyon from the restaurant was beautiful. We enjoyed the sandwiches and the Navajo bread, and the lunch felt delicious and different. The trading post had loads of lovely items authentically made by Navajo or Hopi. It didn’t feel like a tourist trap. It felt authentic.
