Cliffview Resort

Our group of more than 50 had several days of beautiful views, great accommodations, and activities everyone enjoyed. We did the ziplines and SXS adventures onsite, and the underground Kayaking was only 9 minutes away. They pointed us to a catering company that absolutely nailed it. Everyone left grinning. I’d give it 10 stars if I could!

Our family of 57 had a wonderful reunion at Cliffview resort. We rented the Retreat, The Lakeside Cabins, and the Event Center, where we gathered for larger activities. Joyce was wonderful to work with on the reservation, and staff responded quickly whenever we needed help. The new sound system in the event center was great for our family dance, Karaoke, talent show, games, and crafts. They set up our tables, and both lodges supplied extra tables and chairs so all 57 of us could fit for some meals. The main drawback was having to drive the kids between the cabins and event center, but they had a blast once they got there. It was beautiful outside, and some family members swam in the small pond by the Lakeside lodge. Nearby hiking was great, and the underground boat tours in the caves were a highlight. There’s plenty to do nearby, so it’s worth considering for a fun stay.

Kathi even checked in after the wedding to make sure everything had met our expectations. For our reception, we rented a luxury cabin and were blown away. Kathi and Lisa were phenomenal, and I wish I’d worked with them for the wedding too. They provided wonderful catering and decorated the cabin for us. I’d highly recommend them to anyone thinking of getting married in the Red River Gorge!

The scenery and trees were perfect for our weekend, and 8 months later our guests still talk about the views. Our wedding weekend at Cliffview Resort was everything we hoped for, and the team was so helpful and responsive. They helped with lights, unloading cars, and getting things set up. The reception hall was ours for the whole weekend, and we rented the entire lodge too, which gave the bridal party and guests space to get ready on Saturday and let us host a welcome party Friday evening. A lot of guests booked cabins through RRG Cabins, so it felt like summer camp and everyone had a great time. The lodge was accommodating, efficiently set up, and very clean. We also loved the innkeeper, who was a delight to work with, even with our rambunctious crowd. The catering company the venue uses was amazing, and the food exceeded our expectations. We started out working with Meredith, who was a joy, then the arrangements moved over to Kathi. We always felt looked after and valued, and Kathi was such a pleasure that I’ll sing her praises to anyone who’ll listen. I’ll never forget working with everyone at Cliffview Resort. If you want to make a fun weekend in the Gorge with your guests, consider them for your special day.
