Breakfast was delicious each morning, and our early checkout at 5:45 AM was made so easy by the fresh pot of coffee and breakfast sandwiches they left for us to take on the road. Christina and Troy were welcoming hosts who really go above and beyond. Check-in was simple, and Suite 2 was spacious, comfortable, and spotless. The Sunny G B&B has a clean, cozy, relaxing feel. Highly recommend this beautiful bed and breakfast. We’ll definitely return!

It was cold during our stay. I slept like a rock in a comfortable bed, but needed PJs, a flannel shirt, robe, socks, and three blankets. The place has lots of charm and character, and we got some much-needed downtime after 5 days on the go. The temperature had dropped a lot since we started our trip, and we live in Florida. We really liked the owners, and breakfast hit the spot. A couple of practical things for Suite 1: the bathroom door could be replaced with something nicer, and there’s no USB plug, so bring your own or a block. If you use the whirl bath, keep an eye on the temperature, since the big tub uses up the hot water. I used to add kettle water when I had a garden tub, so that might help.

The Sunny G is on our list to return to. We enjoyed a very nice 3-night stay in a comfortable room, and I slept great on the comfortable mattress with perfect pillows. Christina was a gracious, friendly hostess who was happy to share local history. Breakfast was very good.

There were some basic things missing from my stay, and it left me disappointed after booking based on the great reviews. The room was nicely arranged but needed a quick vacuum. Shampoo and conditioner were in the shower, but there was no hand soap or trash can anywhere, which seemed odd. Check-in was confusing: my confirmation email listed one room, while the card left for me named another. A room map and a note saying the key was in the door would have helped. I appreciated getting a text confirming breakfast, but in the morning it was sitting unlabeled on the counter beside an open energy drink, so I wasn’t sure it was for me. Noise from the kitchen around 5:30am woke me up. This place has potential, but my stay felt like it was missing some basics.

My first stay was one of the oddest inn experiences I’ve had. There was no check-in, greeting, or interaction with a host. Instead, I arrived at a bulletin board with instructions and a breakfast sign-up sheet. It felt more like checking into summer camp than staying somewhere that talks about hospitality. I’d already made an upcoming reservation before I arrived for that first visit. Later, unexpected changes meant I had to cancel it. I was told the policy required seven days’ notice, but I realized that this wasn’t clearly stated on the website. There was no flexibility, empathy, or refund. The response was cold, defensive, and dismissive of my concern about the policy not being clear at booking. Some guests may like a hands-off check-in, but I expect at least a little hospitality from a welcoming inn. I felt no warmth or human connection during the stay or in the messages afterward. I also overheard the owner at breakfast talking with another couple about how his wife works a second job so they can “have the toys.” That reinforced my impression that guest care comes second to convenience and funding a lifestyle. This place struck me as a passive-income setup run by people who want the money without the effort. I found the customer service and accountability lacking, and the communication unclear. I stand by my review: it operated more like a vending machine than a hospitality business. If you want care, connection, or basic transparency, keep looking.
