Best Western U Bar Motel

After eight hours on the road, that bathtub was wonderful. My daughter and I were traveling to take her home, and even though I felt unsure about the motel at first, the room pleasantly surprised me. It was clean, updated, and had modern furnishings. The manager/owner was very friendly and suggested places to eat. I’d recommend this motel to anyone looking for somewhere quiet, clean, and safe.

We spent a peaceful day here, and I honestly count it among the best days of my life. I bought fruit at the nearby grocery store and enjoyed it outside in the gazebo, with the sunshine and a gentle breeze. The place feels quiet and safe. The room was very clean, and I had no sanitation concerns. It’s vintage but cozy, with a super comfortable bed and a jacuzzi tub. A spider showed up in the room and scared me, though I know that’s my own fear and understandable with nature all around the town. The owner is such a welcoming, caring person. I was impressed by how friendly and helpful she was. I highly recommend staying here.

Morgan was kind and so helpful, and it felt good to support a small family business. We slept well in the adorable, quiet room. There was space for our little trailer, and they had a dog-friendly room for us. We’re glad we stopped and will come back on our next road trip.

We stumbled across this place late while looking for somewhere to stay on the way to Mount Rushmore. The little town felt adorable, out in the middle of nowhere, and the rooms were really nice. The price was easy on the budget, and the owners were sweet and made sure we were looked after. Mom and pop places are the best!
