Caravan Motel

We were exhausted and just needed somewhere to sleep, but the motel door was locked for the night. They said they’d be back in the morning, and there was no way to rent a room by ringing a bell. We ended up driving to zumbrota, even though we were already extremely tired. I’ve never run into a motel that wouldn’t let you book a room at night.

The beds are firm and comfortable, the rooms are clean, and the service has always been impeccable. My husband and I have been hunting in the area for years and stay at the Caravan on our yearly trips. We’ve loved it every time.

I paid only a couple dollars more than half of what the neighboring hotel charged. The place is set back from the highway, so there’s a lot less noise, and I got a great night’s sleep in a quiet, clean room. Room 237 was spacious, with a nice flat screen TV and good WIFI. The proprietors were friendly and professional, and went way out of their way for me. Great rates, too. I’ll stay here again. Wes Wieland

The owner seemed nice and did try to help, and they did allow a refund. But the wi-fi in the room was unreliable: the signal kept dropping and bandwidth fell below 1Mbps. In the hall, both the signal and bandwidth were good. The manager kept saying there was something wrong with my hardware, but there wasn’t. I’m now at a Motel 6 a little farther south and getting 100Mbps down.
