Quality Inn & Suites Canon City

For what this place costs, I'd choose one of the other hotels. Our room was loud because people were drinking at the bar, and the whole place felt sketchy and worn down. The rooms are dated, with old heating units that look like they've never been cleaned. Watch your step on the way to breakfast too, the carpet is easy to trip over.

The bathroom ceiling was bubbling and peeling, the hallway carpet was coming up, and the old AC and heat unit barely kept the room warm. Even with the heat turned all the way up, it only reached the mid 60's. Hot water took about 20 minutes to get lukewarm and never became properly hot. The pool looked run down, wasn't open seasonally, and there were no hot tubs. Guests coming from the bar were loud after 10 pm. Breakfast was hit or miss: they had a waffle maker but no batter, orange and apple juice, one kind of packaged muffin, scrambled eggs, and sometimes sausage or, on other days, potatoes with peppers and onions. The so-called upgraded rooms still looked pretty shabby. I wouldn't stay here again.

The pool was still open and nice and warm, and the breakfast was phenomenal. We were grateful they found us a room at 3:00 a.m. on a day when they were packed. Our camper had flooded during the night, so we had to come into town to find somewhere else to rest and stay dry.

Our patio door never shut fully at the top, and despite asking for repairs on check-in day and several times afterward, no one ever came. We wanted it fixed to keep the room warmer at night and safe for our baby. We stayed 4 nights with that problem unresolved. The hall carpets were lifting in spots throughout the hotel, and the property itself didn't seem very clean. The staff also double charged us. When I brought it up, they argued that the charges were all correct and said we were wrong. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and won't return.
