Best Western Canton Inn

The rest of the stay was good, and the other room seemed OK. At check-in, though, I spotted a roach clinging to the bedspread. I took a picture, scooped it up in a Kleenex, and threw it away. The clerk made a note after I showed her the photo, and they moved us. We’ve recently noticed poor maintenance at several BW’s we’ve stayed in, and I’m getting disappointed.

I have no idea what kind of bug this is, and the base rug isn’t even stapled to the wall, yes, stapled. For what a room costs, I shouldn’t have to deal with this. There was only one clean set of towels, so I went out and bought towels for myself. It’s been one bad experience after another while I’m here to bury my dad. Please do better, especially with clean towels. Gross!

I travel around the country for work in the nation’s power grid, so I’ve earned my sense of what makes a quality hotel. This Best Western has been better than many others I’ve stayed at. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and Chetan, the front desk clerk, is kind and eager to help. I thought he was the manager because of the great service he gives, until he corrected me. Owners, if you’re looking for an on-site manager, hire Chetan! It’s clear he strives for excellence. If you need a great hotel in Canton, I’d rank this #1 of the 5. Great work Chetan 👏 👍 👌 💪!

The rooms were okay, and the front desk lady was very sweet and kind. Breakfast was great each morning, though it could take forever for someone to be at the front desk. We stayed for 3 nights, and the room service was terrible: towels were never changed, the bed was never made or changed, and the trash bags weren’t changed either. We had to ask for fresh towels after the second night. Room service needs to do better.
