Mckinley Creekside Cabins

The café was the standout for us. Its scratch-made meals and baked goods were so good that we ate every meal there. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were excellent. We nearly ordered a Denali cinnamon roll, which was bigger than a dinner plate, but couldn't quite manage it. Creekside is a gem in the wild, with modern, welcoming cabins and an enclosed deck for each one. There's also a Community Pavilion with patio heaters and gas grills if you want to cook your own fish. Come for a meal or just a baked good, you won't be disappointed by the dining.

The café alone would bring me back. We ate there several times and had some of the best food of the trip, especially the baked Alaska, which was out of this world. The property was beautiful, and the creek was lovely. Our room was quiet, small, well outfitted, and had all the essentials. It didn't have blackout curtains, so bring an eye mask. I thought the room was overpriced, but I'd stay again just for the café.

Carlo house was a perfect retreat for six of us. It was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities of home. My mom and her three best friends came up from Phoenix to ride the train to Denali with us, and we were glad to stay at McKinley creekside cabins. Tracey and Holly have done an amazing job restoring the beautiful property and creating a warm, welcoming stop for people traveling along the Parks highway. We even had a few late-night visitors. The cafe served some of the most delicious food I've had in a long time. I can't say enough about the property or all it offers.

The one drawback was the lack of laundry service. There isn't a washer or dryer for guests, and we were told we'd need to go to the Park Visitors' Center to wash our clothes. That felt like a surprising oversight for a lodge where guests spend long days hiking in the woods and driving dusty roads. Apart from that, all thumbs up. My wife and I had a deeply enjoyable, memorable 4-night stay at McKinley Creekside Cabins in early June 2026. The location away from Glitter Gulch and next door to wonderful Panorama Pizza, superb food, very cozy beds, and friendly staff all made for an excellent stay. We'd happily return.
