Holiday Lodge on Canyon Lake

Mark, the proprietor, was so welcoming and gracious. Holiday Lodge on Canyon Lake would be our first choice if we're in the area again. We had a cozy, clean first-floor room with everything we needed, and parking right outside the door was especially convenient for the person in our party with mobility issues. It's a quiet, peaceful place to rest, with a picnic area for grilling. The setting is beautiful, with a view of the lake over the ridge, deer that visit several times a day, and a sweet cat that stops by to say hello. Several nice restaurants are nearby too.

We booked a night here for a friend's wedding at a nearby venue, and I’d happily come back for longer. The king room had a lovely view of the lake from the balcony. It was beautiful, cozy, and stocked with what we might need. The service was incredible too. Such a nice spot for a quiet getaway.

The room felt like something from a fantasy novel, and it was spotless, well supplied, and smelled like a bookstore, my favorite scent. Even the WiFi was solid enough for streaming. We stayed in a second-floor king room, arriving Thursday for our anniversary, and had a great time exploring town. The manager welcomed us right away and was ready to help with anything. He even printed a list of local restaurants, and we loved the meals we had at several of them. We’re disabled, but having the car close by made trips into town easier than they might be at a larger place. In February, the sunny skies and cool breeze made the little drive down to the lake gorgeous. We managed the hill on crutches and could sit comfortably on a bench to enjoy the lake. We hope to return soon. It was a privilege to experience this property, and the room is a work of art.

A small hotel that was just right for our stay near the river. We could see Canyon Lake, and the Guadalupe River was only 6 minutes away. The rooms were clean, cool, and quiet. Highly recommend.
