Horseshoe Riverside Lodge

Loved our stay. The room was basic but really clean, and the bed was comfortable. There's a nice spot out back to sit and relax. It must get crazy here during tube season, but it's a great off-season getaway. And head about 10 minutes up the road to Granny D-s for breakfast!

You can step out of your room and be just a few feet from the water. We loved having river access, whether for kayaking, floating, or just sitting by the river with morning coffee. The scenery is beautiful, and the whole place is peaceful. At night, it was quiet enough to fall asleep to the sound of the river. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and ready to help. Our room was clean, comfortable, and cozy, with rustic Texas charm and convenient touches. This little motel exceeded my expectations. It's a great place for a relaxing weekend or a family trip, and I can't wait to come back.

This was our second stay here this year. Wendy makes phone reservations easy and quick, and the rooms are clean. The best part is drinking coffee on the rocking bench out back in the morning while watching the river. It's also handy for visiting family at the Lake, with New Braunfels close enough to drive into.

I arrived late after a long drive and was greeted by Doc and Wendy, two of the kindest hosts I've met. I mentioned I was hungry and had fajitas to grill, and they immediately helped me get everything set up. It was dark and I was tired, but they went out of their way to make sure I had a good meal and felt welcome. I slept well in a quiet, comfortable room. The next morning I made coffee and sat outside with the calm river sounds and fresh air. The view was unreal. Horseshoe Riverside Lodge is a relaxing place to unplug and recharge, and I felt well taken care of. Amazing glamping experience, highly recommend!
