Lazy H Lodge

We had 13 people across four families on this recent family vacation, and the facilities met all of our needs. Everyone had a room with an ensuite bathroom, and the dining table fit the whole group comfortably. The pool was a perfect way to cool off on a Texas summer afternoon. Gruene, Wimberley, and Luckenbach were all conveniently close. We'd love to stay again!

The house and location were wonderful, not far from the river or lake. The beds were comfortable, each room had its own bathroom, and everyone loved the pool and hot tub. But we'll never book here again because the owner made us feel watched and complained about our music twice, before 9pm, while we were barbecuing and enjoying the pool on our first night. The house rules say music should be off by 10pm. She watched us from her balcony or windows whenever we were outside. On day two, she turned off the house WiFi, though my sister had backup WiFi, so we were fine. It started working again on our last day. We were just trying to enjoy a summer vacation with loved ones, and she killed the vibe. When we left, we got a text saying we'd left the house in great condition. No kids were ever unattended, there were always adults outside, and we filled four trash cans, so what? This place doesn't seem suited to kids. If the owners don't like children, they should have kept it as an adults-only Bed & Breakfast. Make sure to whisper or stay quiet, or the so-called neighbors may complain. 😂

Rex & Kathy make a point of helping you enjoy your stay, from check-in to check-out. The breakfast is always wonderful and delicious, and they clearly love what they do. We’ve stayed many times over the past few years and look forward to more fun evenings with the Henry's. There’s red-neck hottubing, beer in the pavilion, campfire stories, and helpful tips for dining and sightseeing. It's a great-value getaway, and you couldn't ask for better hosts.

The Lazy H was such a cozy, well-kept place for our weekend near a friend's wedding. Rex greeted us warmly and made sure we were settled in. Our room was sparkling clean, and breakfast was hot and ready for everyone the next morning. We were at the reception all evening, so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor space, but we'd love to come back and would definitely recommend staying here.
