The comfortable beds, pretty lobby and pool area, and very nice front desk staff were all good points. But the showers in both of our rooms were awful, with barely lukewarm water and very little pressure. That’s a big deal for me and, unfortunately, enough to keep me from wanting to return. The breakfast was okay, though I expected more choice and hotter food. I’ve had better at less expensive Holiday Inns. The price felt high, although I understand this is an expensive area. Our room was mostly clean, but there were crumbs around the desk, only three pillows, and no bedding for the pullout.

Our room had two queen beds, a sofa, and loads of space. The kids also loved the outdoor pool lighting, and the location worked well for the cruise port, Kennedy Space Center, and the beaches. The hotel is brand new and spotless, and it was quiet. Breakfast was standard. One map note: this is the Hampton Inn & Suites Cape Canaveral Cruise Port, which shares a complex with the Home2 Suites and sits a little farther back from the main road than the map pin suggests.

The breakfast was enormous. We were allowed to visit both hotel breakfast areas and picked things from each, including eggs, potatoes, sausage patties, chicken breast patties, Belgian waffles, and muffins. There were plenty of other choices too, and we didn’t eat again until dinner. We agreed it was the best hotel breakfast we’ve had in the States. Later, after we’d checked out and driven five minutes to the beach, the hotel called to say housekeeping had found our toiletry kit. We went back for it, and really appreciated the honest crew. We booked on a whim to get away from the neighborhood fireworks on 12/31, which keep everyone in our house awake for hours. What a gem. It’s two hotels in one, Hampton Inn and Home2, and the road signs could be bigger. We stayed on the Home 2 side. The welcome was friendly, the lobby was huge, and our room was amazing and spacious for our family of four. We liked sitting by the fire with free hot chocolate in the evening, and my husband enjoyed a drink from the bar. It would be even better if it were on the beach.

This place gets really busy, especially Friday through Monday morning when families heading out together fill it up. Then it empties out. It has a crowded, cheerful buzz, and the staff keep up with it gracefully. They’re nice and responsive, and the maintenance guy is great. He fixed the sink that wasn’t draining well on my first night right away. I’ve been here a few weeks and am enjoying it. My room is huge, well equipped, and overlooks the pretty pool. The hotel is beautiful, with ample parking, lots of shared spaces, and lovely decor in the rooms and public areas. There’s a large gym open 24 hours and laundry too. It’s very close to the port, so lots of cruise passengers stay here. The one frustrating thing has been getting zero balance receipts for our team’s weekly travel vouchers. We’ve had to ask several times each week.
