Buxton is a great area, more remote and less touristy than some of the northern spots. We went for two nights in the off-season, and the price was very reasonable. The cottage was great, with four comfortable beds, enough sofa seating for everyone, and a kitchen stocked well enough to cook dinner both nights. The woman who checked us in was friendly and helped us sort out parking and keys. I'd definitely come back. I'm sure the price is higher in summer, but I was happy with what we paid.

We arrived late and they left our keys for us. The room was clean, the HVAC worked well, and the bed was comfortable, though the Wi-Fi didn't work. We saw dolphins. The view from room 5A was good, somewhere in the middle compared with the others.

An island secret, with great, affordable places to stay. Nothing fancy, but the people are absolutely amazing and the service is top notch. I'm already looking forward to next year's spring and fall fishing trips.

For our first Outer Banks trip, this cottage and its friendly staff made the whole visit much more enjoyable. Everyone was so polite and nice, and we're definitely coming back. The ocean is just a short distance from the cottage. It was relaxing to leave the doors and windows open overnight and let the sea breeze move through the room. The waves lapping almost at the bottom of the deck made it feel romantic and lovely. We're extremely happy with our beachfront cottage and the staff.
