Angel of the Sea

The place is beautiful, has an interesting history, and is in a great spot with easy access to the beach, area restaurants, and the main strip. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, and we had a great time. My one issue was the mattress, which had a deep dip and made it hard to sleep well. Even so, I'd definitely go back.

We arrived very late for our one-night stay while in town for our son's US Coast Guard graduation, and our key was waiting in an envelope at the front desk. The room was clean, quaint, and conveniently located. Breakfast was complimentary, with three entrée choices, fresh fruit, yogurt to start, and freshly brewed coffee. Our waitress was kind and efficient, and the manager overseeing everything was friendly and helpful. The beach is just a short hop away, and I'd highly recommend staying here.

Room 27, at the far end of the top floor in the second building, was so quiet we never heard anyone else. We visited in March, though, and couldn't adjust the temperature, so the room felt quite warm. It might be too warm in summer. Our room was a bit dusty, and the inn could use a deeper clean, but the employees we met were all welcoming and friendly. The B&B is farther from the town center than places we've stayed before, but the area was peaceful and quiet. In the off-season it nearly felt like a charming ghost town. Breakfast was fantastic, with a choice of entrées and sit-down service that felt special. We also loved the afternoon tea and pastries, especially the decadent strawberry mousse. We had a lovely stay.

Michelle at the front desk was amazing and gave us excellent lunch suggestions. The rest of the staff were attentive and friendly too. We were in town for our son's Coast Guard graduation, and the B&B was a few blocks from the CG station and the beach, with restaurants easy to reach. Tea time came with a tasty selection of pastries, and the wine and charcuterie options were great. Breakfast was excellent as well, so your meals are basically covered. We'd definitely stay again when we're in the Cape May area.
