Casablanca

The breakfast at Casablanca was the standout for us. The dishes were thoughtfully put together and needed nothing added, and we loved the smoothie served before the main course. It’ll fuel you up before exploring Cape May. Tea time from 4 to 5 was a nice pause in the day, too. Our room was lovely, with a soft, welcoming bed after a busy day. There wasn’t a tub, but the shower was a decent size with a rainfall head and good pressure. The soaps smelled and felt great. The B&B is quiet and peaceful, and the staff are kind and accommodating, though we occasionally heard a door close. It’s not in the town center, but an easy walk gets you to the mall, restaurants, and beach. Parking can be tricky because of how the town is laid out, though you can look on side streets for free spots if you don’t want to use the pass for a lot a few blocks away. There are no elevators, so consider your room’s floor if lifting luggage is difficult. We found Casablanca a lovely quiet, romantic getaway for couples who still want to explore.

The only thing keeping me from giving all five stars was that the rooms are a little small, though average for a Cape May B&B. Otherwise, it was an excellent stay at the Casablanca, with a great location, exceptional five-star breakfasts, and great service. There were nice extras too, including daily cake, cookies, Sherry, and Brandy. 4.9 stars.

Beware, the customer service was horrible. I canceled within the free cancellation window, but after four weeks they still hadn’t released the payment and had ignored my emails. It felt a little sketchy, and I’d be wary of booking. I had to take it up with my credit card company.

This B+B is an absolute gem, with a beautiful building, clean modern rooms, lots of privacy and comfort, and plenty of nice little extras. The location is perfect, close to the beach and town center. There are bikes and all the beach necessities available, and the breakfasts are amazing every day. I’d definitely choose this B+B over a hotel, and choose this one. When I return to Cape May, I’ll stay here again.
