My retreat guests loved the mansion and its staff, and their help made the event a success. We stayed there during the town’s quiet off-season, and I felt at home, as did the yoga friends and family who came along. The restoration details were beautiful, and everyone on staff was welcoming and kind, like family greeting you at home. Denise, the manager, worked with me for months to take care of every detail, and I’m so grateful for how well she did that. The food was lovely, the service was top-notch, and Ken’s tour was a highlight for all of us. I’ll return, hopefully with more of my yogi-clients.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but Ken made us feel welcome as soon as my husband and I arrived at The Southern Mansion. Nick prepared a delicious breakfast and was such a polite young man. Joey was a friendly, professional server, and his complimentary house tour for guests is well worth taking. Breakfast was excellent, with a choice of four entrees and different sides. We stayed in the spacious first-floor Room 18, which had a king-sized bed and private bathroom. Both the room and bathroom were spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. The location is convenient, a few blocks from the Washington Mall and beach. What a beautiful place.

The free breakfast was cooked to order and filling enough that we could skip lunch, and the service was outstanding. This historic, old-school B&B is in a great spot, within walking distance of almost everything, with nearby attractions just a short drive away. The guests seemed a bit older, so we didn’t have to worry about noisy neighbors like at some other places. A nice spot to unwind.

Beautiful, well-kept grounds surround this Cape May, New Jersey bed and breakfast. The house dates back to 1863, when it was the Allen family’s private residence. Guided tour tickets are available for purchase, and weddings are another option here.
