Holiday Inn Westbury - Long Island by IHG

I found the front desk interaction pretty unsettling. After I booked online, the blonde young person at the desk scoffed and checked both sides of my license and bank card twice. It seemed unnecessary, and she snickered with another staff member. I’m probably over ten years older than them. She said I could use the underground parking, then followed me down and stood at the entrance staring at my Mercedes, looking annoyed and saying nothing. I’m not from the area and don’t know these people. The whole thing was alarming. The staff also seemed strange, even late at night, and the cleaning staff were very unfriendly. I’d make sure to lock your bags if you leave them in the room. The desk interaction felt unprofessional and creepy. Maybe a woman who can support herself intimidates her, who knows. I also get that people in run-down areas may struggle with mental health, but come on.

The room was clean and ready when we arrived at 3, and we had no issues during the stay. The staff were so kind, and they let us request a late checkout without any trouble. My boyfriend and I stayed overnight for a wedding and really enjoyed it. I’d happily stay here again.

Aldina made our hockey team’s stay especially pleasant. She arranged for all our team meals to be tasty and on time, and was a great host. Everyone on staff was friendly, available and very helpful. A wonderful hotel with an even better team!

A comfortable stay, a handy location and great service make this hotel an easy recommendation. It should suit people who value luxury and attentive service.
