Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara

The location worked well for us, about a 15-minute drive from the ocean and near plenty of amenities. We spent a week at the Four Seasons Aviara and found the resort beautiful and comfortable, with excellent service. Whenever we needed something, we only had to ask and it was taken care of almost right away.

The kids were kept busy for hours with the goodie bags, and they even brought more macarons for them later. There were also lots of anniversary treats waiting in our room. Fran and her team kept in touch before our stay, and everyone on staff was lovely. We came with our young kids for an anniversary trip and loved it. Breakfast at the restaurant every morning was a highlight, and the rooms were spectacular. We also got a complimentary upgrade through our credit card's Fine Hotels and Resorts stay.

It's a nice property, but the constant road noise made it impossible to relax, and nothing about the service felt especially extraordinary. We asked for a quiet room away from street noise because we'd be staying two weeks while having a medical procedure. At check-in we were told that wouldn't be a problem, but our unit faces Aviara Parkway, and every part of it, bedrooms included, faces the busy road. I wore earplugs last night and could still hear cars rushing by. They didn't offer earplugs, either. Nearly all the buildings in Summit Village face Aviara Parkway, and units in Buildings 17-24 get that noise. Summit Village seems to have most of the units, while the other two villages, which look quieter, have very few buildings. This was my first stay here.

Michael helped us keep a frightening situation manageable after my dad had a stroke in the lobby during our stay. I live out of town, so before I could fly down I needed to check on things from a distance, especially whether his wallet had been left behind in all the confusion. Michael stayed in touch, showed real empathy, and was helpful at every step. He brought calm and clarity when everything felt overwhelming. Thank you for all you did, Michael. If your manager sees this, please give this exceptional man a raise. He deserves it.
