Hyatt Vacation Club At Highlands Inn

The hotel grounds are beautifully kept, with an impressive variety of plants. The restaurant views are breathtaking, and the food is great. I’ve been twice and would happily return. Watching the sunset from the hot tub was exactly the amazing experience I’d hoped for. There was a check-in issue, but Abel Veloz, the Front Desk Director, took time to listen and understand what had happened. He generously comped the room to make it right. His care and ownership lifted the whole experience and felt like a 5-star stay.

The Pacific Ocean views are sweeping, and the fireplaces were already set up with wood and paper, ready to light. We chose this property for a getaway and loved it. It’s a bit outside the town of Carmel, but the staff and amenities made us feel no need to leave. Shout-out to Grace & William at the Pacific’s Edge, and front-desk staff Mandolina (sp?) and Kyle. We’ll definitely be back!

We’d seen some negative reviews and worried our stay might disappoint, but everything turned out wonderfully. The room was clean and recently renovated, and the front desk staff were attentive and helpful. Pacific’s Edge was amazing, with phenomenal views and food. Heavy winds and storms knocked out the power at night and again in the morning, but that was beyond anyone’s control. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

For more than 12 years, Hyatt Carmel Highlands has been a special place for me, and every visit still feels magical. The views are unmatched, the kind that make you stop, breathe, and take in the moment. Quiet mornings and unforgettable sunsets leave memories that stay with me long after I go. Thank you to Jeff and Abel for going above and beyond to make this visit memorable. Their hospitality and attention to detail show what makes the property special. It never loses its charm, no matter how many times I return. Highly recommended.
