Carmel Garden Inn

Our room was spacious and the staff were amazing. Booking.com caused a problem with our reservation, which was cancelled without notice. The staff drove out to get us a room themselves and honored the original price we’d booked. Most places were closed by then, so they really saved our night. I’d stay here again 120%. Call them or book through their website directly.

The host was especially welcoming, kind and friendly. We had a lovely experience at Carmel Garden Inn, with very clean rooms, a beautiful location and a fire pit that was a great addition.

The cottage felt small in a thoughtful way, with room for what mattered and no clutter or noise. The hot water was strong for long baths, and the bed was so comfortable it seemed to invite afternoon naps. At night it was still and silent, like the world had paused so I could rest. Staying at Carmel Garden Inn felt like borrowing Granny’s house while she was off visiting friends. Every little nook had its own charm. The fireplace crackled softly at night, fresh ocean air came in through the windows, and by late morning or noon the space had warmed up just right. Blissful, intimate and grounding. It’s a feeling as much as a place to stay.

The breakfast spread in the morning made our one night couples getaway. The staff were wonderful all around and the hospitality was great. A perfect short stay in Carmel. Highly recommend checking it out.
