My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday, and we loved it. The owner and staff were so friendly and made us feel at home. They went above and beyond, and we’ll definitely come back. For room 22, an ocean projector lamp, if you have one, made the room feel extra cozy and beachy. This is a mom n’ pop style inn, so don’t expect Hilton style beds. I liked the soft pillows and spring mattress, though that may not suit everyone. My only complaint was feeling every time my boyfriend rolled over or got out of bed. The shower is tiny but has nice water pressure. Put down a towel so water doesn’t get all over the floor. The AC works well and is easy to set. I like sleeping with a bit of noise, but with it off, you can hear the ocean even with the windows shut. The blinds can be tricky. We visited in October, during the off-season, so it wasn’t very busy. The ocean was much warmer than the sand at night, which made for a nice evening walk on the beach. Cute diners and shops are close by, mostly within walking distance, and the boardwalk is about ten minutes away. Parking around here is pretty cheap. It gets more expensive in Wilmington, a 30 minute drive away. Gas is cheap, the food is good, and the vibes are immaculate.

We could walk everywhere all weekend and didn’t use the car once. The place was quiet and comfortable, and I’d recommend it and stay again. It’s very close to the beach, and the staff are nice. Our room was clean, spacious, and as described, with plenty of pillows on each bed. The pool was nice, and they let us use it and park while we waited for the room. One issue: the website and receipt both promise a 10% discount for paying cash, but it only waives the 3% transaction fee. Also, after I put the dirty linens out with the housekeeping sign as the welcome letter instructed, they took the trash and used towels but never brought fresh towels or cleaned the room.

They’re refusing to refund us after we reported bedbugs, and even accused us of making it up. We called several people, and they said they’d had an “inspection” the same day we arrived. What are the odds of that? They keep dodging my calls and will only communicate by text. They also claimed we were staying at another hotel and had taken the images from Google or Instagram. Really, did I wake up in the middle of the night to put bedbugs there myself? Then they said they’d gotten brand new mattresses that very morning. Again, what are the odds? They won’t accept that they have bedbugs. All I’m asking for is a refund, and they refuse.

The owner and staff are wonderful and helpful, and the room felt more like a home than a hotel. The location is incredibly convenient, with the beach just steps away and almost every kind of store within walking or biking distance. I know where I’ll stay next time I’m in Wilmington! :)

This inn is a gem. Everyone was so nice and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Our ocean-view room was spacious and had a lovely balcony. Highly recommend.
