The Honking Goose Inn

Cell service may be spotty or nonexistent, and the Wi-Fi has rural speeds. For us, that was a plus since we wanted a comfy place to get away from it all. The pine room was spacious and well appointed, with a gas fireplace and jacuzzi tub all to ourselves. The hosts were so nice, and even adjusted our meals for our diet without us asking. It was a wonderful place to disconnect and recharge. We plan to return and would recommend it to friends.

We stayed in the Oak Room upstairs, and it was very nice. There was another sitting room upstairs too. The owner brought us warm cookies, which were delicious, and breakfast the next morning was great. We had a peaceful night away from the bustle at home. We also met another couple staying there who live only about 20 minutes from us, and we spent a long time chatting in the sitting room. My husband and I will definitely come back.

The Birch Room was really nice, with a large bathroom and a big, soft bed. The innkeeper and his wife were amazing, and the atmosphere and breakfast were wonderful. I loved the massage and foot detox. Wi-Fi was excellent, though I had no cell service and that was okay. The only unpleasant part was eating at the Johnson's White Bear Inn. The food was good, but the service was poor, so I'll skip that restaurant next time. Can't wait to stay here again.

The owners went above and beyond when my husband got very ill during our latest visit and needed an ambulance to a local hospital. They even drove our car there so we'd have it when he was released. This place is quiet and relaxing, the breakfast is outstanding, and the fresh-baked cookies are great. The massage made me feel like a new person. I can't say enough good things about the Honking Goose Inn. I highly recommend it.
