Hardman House Inn & Suites

The lobby was decent and the staff were polite, but our room was in awful shape. The bed made a loud metallic squeal with every small movement, the carpet and paint were worn out, and the ceiling had water stains with panels taped up in several places. The walls were so thin we thought the man next door was in our room. We had rented a second room for our daughters, and theirs was a little better. Still, this was the worst dive I’ve stayed in as an adult, and that’s saying something.

The beds were comfortable, it was quiet, and parking was plentiful. I spent three days here and found the staff friendly and very helpful. The WiFi worked well, too. It’s good value for the money and conveniently located. I’d definitely recommend it.

The basement garage gave me some peace of mind about leaving my car and belongings there. I also liked how close everything was: Saltwater tavern, cracker box cafe and the casinos were all within easy walking distance. The young man at the desk was polite and happy to help.

We arrived at 6pm for a room booked for four, even though check-in was at 3pm, and still couldn’t get in. The front desk said the housekeeper hadn’t arrived and would be there in 30 minutes. When we came back 45 minutes later, we were told to wait another hour and a half. They couldn’t move us to a different room because its door wasn’t working. When we asked for a discount, the staff member said his boss might call next week, but we still had to pay full price. Don’t bother booking here.
