We paid more than $200 for each room and were ready to leave as soon as we could. My friends and I had booked two rooms for a weekend during Oktoberfest in Leavenworth. The website made the rooms look simple but pleasant, so the condition was a letdown. My bed was clean, though the mattress was uncomfortable, and four trains came through overnight blowing their horns. In the bathroom, the tiny shower had mold stains along the seams, and the linoleum was cracked and peeling where it met the carpet. The old wall heater made the wall hot when switched on. The bathroom lights only worked after I twisted the bulbs: one fixture cover hung loose, another spot was just a bare bulb. There was a urine smell when I opened the door. My friends' room was much the same, and one of their outlets sparked when they plugged in a hairdryer. Cashmere itself is lovely, which is the only reason I gave the location a 3.

The room was roomy and clean, and the clerk was so kind. She was gracious when I called back to change the day we'd be arriving. The bed felt firm at first, then I sank into it, which made getting out a bit hard for us since we're not young. The train passes by, but they provide earplugs. Otherwise, a nice stay.

The hosts were kind and helpful, and the rooms had been renovated and were clean, though pretty basic. What caused trouble was the bill: at checkout the rates varied from $80 to $180. I was supporting wildfire efforts and needed to report travel expenses, so it would have helped to have the pricing explained clearly, especially the government/military rate. I understand weekends can cost more, but such a large jump for the same room caught me off guard. Clear rates during booking or check-in would have prevented the confusion.

Stephanie was helpful and really kind, and everything in the rooms was very clean and stocked with nice necessities. It was also well priced and in a pretty area. I'd happily stay again if I'm traveling nearby, and recommend it to anyone needing a good place for a few nights. Loved it, 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ants came out from under the wall and got into our things the morning after our first night, even though we'd paid for two nights. We had a video of them coming through, but the woman at the front desk said we'd brought them in. Earlier, when we first reported it, she had said she knew about a sugar ant problem. We asked to move rooms or get a refund, and she was extremely rude and would only offer to clean the room. She said she'd let us know whether a room change was possible depending on capacity and getting all the rooms ready. We'd already paid and were guests. Stay at Cashmere Inn if you're willing to risk bringing ants home or feeling like bugs are crawling on you.
