Our two-bedroom condo was comfortable, and the staff were wonderful. Tia at the front desk was especially helpful, and Chris and Juan from maintenance were excellent too. I’d have given it five stars, but the kitchen was sparsely equipped. We were missing basic things like a vegetable peeler, lime squeezer, grill utensils, and cookie sheet.
The gated community gave the property a safe feel, and the lobby staff were very nice. I stayed one night and had a great experience overall. The room was quite outdated, but it still did its job. It did have a very distinct, unpleasant smell; with the AC and fan running, it wasn’t too bad. A dip in the pool was a big plus.
I’ve stayed with Cimarron Vacation rentals off and on for years and usually had good experiences, so I’m very disappointed. The grounds crew and towel delivery people were great, but the front desk staff were consistently rude. Even a small request for extra TP got a sassy reply. The room smelled of smoke and wasn’t cleaned well. The carpet was stained and disgusting throughout, the 1970's furniture was stained, and even the mattresses were stained, which is more than gross. The bathroom and kitchen floors hadn’t been mopped; my feet were black after walking around on the first day, so I wore shoes for the rest of my stay. There was hair that wasn’t ours on the filthy bathroom floor, and the corners were dirty. When I asked for another room, they told me to look on a third-party booking app to see if there was space elsewhere. I even asked about the room right next to us, which never had its lights on, and the staff were still unhelpful. This place needs new staff and management, and every room needs to be gutted and redone with current, clean accommodations. I won’t be back.
My room was nice and clean, with the basic necessities but nothing luxurious, and the shower had good water pressure. It was quiet during my quick stay since the property is tucked away at the end of a residential street. The community is automatically gated, so you have to call when you arrive to get in and check in. If you’ll be arriving late, make arrangements.
The one-bedroom was huge. I can’t remember staying somewhere with such a big living room, and the kitchen had full-size appliances. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious too, and I slept great on the super-comfy mattress. The living room furniture was outdated and the carpet wasn’t in very good condition, but I’d definitely stay again next time we’re in Palm Springs.
