Ramada by Wyndham Catlettsburg/Ashland

The view was beautiful, and we found the room and shared areas very clean and fresh smelling. The bed and chair were comfortable, everything worked, and the suite had a dishwasher, mini fridge, coffee pot, and Keurig. We chose the kitchenette room because we were told it was the only one with a king bed. They charged us an extra $40 for two people instead of one, bringing the room to $160, which felt outrageous for the area, especially with hot breakfast not being served. Our stay itself was comfortable. The pool was cool but not cold, and the hot tub was hot, though its jets didn't work. The toilet was small but fine, and the bathroom was extremely small. Other things available included coin laundry, vending machines, ice, cold breakfast, a gym, pool, patio, outdoor chairs, elevator, luggage carts, cribs, and Dove hygiene products. There's a Dairy Queen, gas station, and Waffle House in the parking lot.

During our four day stay, we were told there'd be no maid service. To get clean towels for each of the next three days, we had to bring our dirty, wet ones down to the desk. Then, while we were asleep, the window blind fell down in the middle of the night. The bathroom was extremely small, and we've never had such unprofessional treatment at a Ramada. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this Ramada, and we will never stay here again.

The bathroom has a pedestal sink and toilet, but nowhere to set clothes or toiletries while showering. That was the only downside. The room was clean, and the microwave, fridge, shower, and heater all worked properly. I'd stay again if I were in the area.

The hotel worked perfectly for my trip to a music festival. Waffle House next door was a bonus, it was the best one I've had. Another guest also told me the waffles in the hotel lobby were amazing.
