Being able to walk into downtown from here was a real plus, and the owner seems to care about keeping the property up. The rooms look recently updated, with Keurig coffee makers, big fridges, and nice bathroom fixtures. The beds could be more comfortable, though most hotels I've stayed in, even pricier ones, have the same issue. For the value, I’m giving it five stars.

I just needed somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep. The Keurig coffee was good, but they don’t provide water, so bring your own or fill the ice bucket and let the ice melt. The ice machine was clean. The laundromat next door opens early, which is handy for getting clean clothes packed before heading home, or for washing the things you forgot to bring, like I did. The top sheet makes a decent toga while you wait.

For the price, it does the job, but the room wasn’t very clean. The sheets had stains, paint was coming off the walls, and there was a roach. You can even hear someone snoring in the next room. It’s a shame with the beach right nearby, since the rooms need some attention. I wouldn’t stay longer than one night. If you drive a bigger vehicle, park in back because getting out of the front lot is a pain.

The room itself was nice, but I booked it because of the fireplace, and it didn’t work. When I called the front desk, the clerk told me none of the rooms’ fireplaces worked. I asked to switch rooms, then asked for a small refund, but was told they don’t offer one. I paid for a room based on a feature that wasn’t available. 05-22-2025
