Economy Inn & Suites

My boyfriend and I have been here about 5/6 days after personal problems at home led us to leave. In that short time, this place has felt more like home than our own did. It’s rough around the edges and far from perfect, but I have a roof, a private place to eat, and somewhere to shower, sleep, and use the bathroom. I can't complain. I may come back to add to this review under the Economy Suites and Inn picture after I've been here longer. I'm not sure what the things I've read online about the maintenance guy are about. I'll take pictures for that next review.

Shawn and Margo live on site and are always available, and both have been really nice and helpful. The property is clean, well cared for, and brightly lit all around with no lights out, so I've felt safe here. My room was spacious and clean, with a full-size refrigerator and new floors. This stay has been a lifesaver. You can book for a night or stay longer, and either way I think you'll be happy.

The room itself was okay, and pets are allowed for an extra fee. Getting in from Wicker Avenue is easy, though the back of the Inn faces the road and made it confusing to find at first. Parking across the other side felt awkward, and you have to choose your spot carefully or another vehicle could block you in. A woman came over asking me questions, then, after learning I was visiting friends, asked where I lived and whether I'd hire her as a live-in assistant, lol. Also, a maintenance man comes into your room to “check it” at least once a week, whenever he chooses, which made me uncomfortable. Replacing a lost key costs $25, and getting locked out overnight could possibly get you evicted, smh.

The owners were so friendly and helpful, they really went above and beyond. I booked the whirlpool suite for Valentine's Day 2018, and it was clean with everything working well. There was plenty of hot water through the night and the next morning. We could have used more towels, though that's a small thing, and I figured maybe they were trying to be eco-conscious. For the price, it was a great room, and I'd recommend one of the nice luxury suites.
