Comfort Inn (Cedar Park)

We picked this hotel because we had an event nearby, but the delay made us late. Check-in was listed as 2 p.m.; my family and I arrived at 4:30 p.m. on 2/15/25 and were told the elevator to the second floor was out of service. The rooms on my reservation weren’t ready because they hadn’t been cleaned, so they said we’d have to wait over an hour and take rooms on the first floor. That pushed our check-in to around 6 p.m. I called customer service to ask why we were waiting so long. They called the hotel, and I stood in front of the staff member while she spoke with the 800 number. We got no compensation, and we were now late for our event. When I called again because the problem still hadn’t been resolved, they offered points instead of a full or partial refund. They said the locations are franchises and there was nothing they could do about the hotel. The staff didn’t seem to care or take action to make things right. Because of this, I cancelled another booking in Houston, Texas, that was coming up within three weeks. Don’t book here, there are better options down the road, literally.

The facility was clean, though the pool was closed for repairs. What brought my rating down was the air conditioner in room 222. It was loud and barely cooled the room. I set it to 68, woke up warm in the middle of the night, lowered it to 60, and still couldn’t get comfortable. Every so often it made a horrible noise, like something was broken.

For a very reasonable price, this was amazing value. It’s not a luxury hotel, but the rooms were spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly, and there were plenty of amenities, including a free hot breakfast. The location was great too.

They advertised $57 a night, then changed the price to $75. When I asked for an adjustment, the manager said no. I manage a motel myself and wouldn’t treat my guests that way. I’ve stayed in hotels before and never had to ask for housekeeping. This motel is overpriced, and I won’t stay there again.
