The breakfast table felt like home, with easy conversation with Susan, the owners, and the other guests. The food was so yummy, too. Susan is friendly and outgoing, and you can tell she takes real pride in making people feel welcome. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the decor is adorable. Such a pleasant place to stay, and a must for a little getaway.

Quiet, clean, and stocked like home, with a soft bed, teas, and a Jacuzzi tub. The doggies came over to greet me, which made me feel right at home. I’m not an easy traveler, but this place checked all my boxes. It’s comfy, and I might stay another night. I’ll definitely be back!

Breakfast was brought over the next morning, and we ate outside. We’d enjoyed sitting on the country patio the night before, sipping wine and catching up with friends. My husband and I stayed in one room while our friends shared the other. The Ranch Hand and Foreman are off to the side of the house, not inside it. Everything was excellent. We’d definitely do it again!

The breakfast was meant to be light, but I ended up eating nearly all of it. The homemade kefir was so good I wanted to make it a staple at home, and there were scrambled eggs, toast, fresh berries, coffee, and more. I’m usually not much of a breakfast eater, but it kept me going all day. I’d found The Kerr Inn on Google maps late one evening while alone in Pilot Point for a family funeral, surprised there were so few hotels in horse country. Owner Susan Brenner answered the phone with such a cheerful voice that I felt secure staying there alone. My upstairs room was in a cozy, tastefully restored farmhouse. The online photos hadn’t led me to expect much, but the room was delightfully appointed, with an impeccably clean bathroom, a very comfortable bed, and a private entrance to the large shared deck overlooking the countryside. I’ll return to this historic hidden gem.

Loved Katie, what a sweetie! Tom & Susan were warm and inviting, and really tuned in to what their guests needed. We enjoyed both the breakfast and the conversation. A delightful stay, and we’ll stay again!
