Captain David Kelley House Bed & Breakfast

Breakfast comes with a little extra “ham,” too :^). We had a really enjoyable early autumn stay in October 2025, and the hosts were fun and absolutely earned their “Scone Kings” title. I’m not sure whether their piano act includes “Everybody must get sconed” yet, but I bet their musical talents could pull it off. The historic inn is peaceful, very clean, comfortable, and set on well-kept grounds. It’s handy for Craigville Beach, Osterville, Barnstable, and things to do in Hyannis. Thanks again, Tom and Rick, and Alexander the Great. We had a great visit and highly recommend the place.

Breakfast was the highlight for us: delicious food, hilarious entertainment, and excellent scones from both hosts. Their weekend scone contest had us laughing. When we arrived, Rick and Tom even upgraded our room for free. It was beautiful, spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. They made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked into their home, and it’s clear they care about their guests. We’ll stay there again on our next trip to the Cape. A lovely village on Cape Cod, with the ocean just minutes away, makes this a great place to stay. Rick and Tom create a warm, welcoming retreat, and the breakfast is delicious, with a presentation that makes it even better.

We got a gift certificate for CDK house from my husband and me, and what a find it turned out to be. Rick and Tom are terrific B&B owners and clearly know how to do things right. We loved it all. Thanks, guys, and a shout-out to Alexander 😻. If you need a break, this is the spot.
